There are various kinds of journaling that we can go to when we need different things. All ways of journaling are valuable and they are very much essential to each other.
Focus journaling gives a powerful boost and movement forward.
Focus Journaling is a form of journaling that directs your focus and then uses that focus to create changes in the subconscious mind. This then brings changes in life that often seem like magic. You will notice possibilities, opportunities, capacity, and support that you otherwise may not have known were there. It uses intention, repetition, recognition and deep listening to move you beyond the places you have gone before.
I love Summer and always want to have the best Summer yet. So - this Summer, I’ll be guiding my 40 day focus journaling practice. I happens online. Can be done live or via recording. AND - you will be learning to do it on your own. This means that it can come with you through travels or wherever Summer takes you to help you meet each day with presence and receive the goodness that is here.

We have come to call it “Morning Practice” and many people have done this with me over the years and have experienced powerful change. I used it myself to get through my hardest times–to move myself through physical sickness, deep depression, and life circumstance that I did not know how to solve. Now, I want to use it to fully embrace all the goodness that I have in my life now and to continue forward with courage towards even bigger dreams.
Maybe you are feeling ready for a boost. Perhaps you are wanting to lean towards even more goodness in your life. Perhaps you are walking through challenging times. Maybe - a bit of all of the above.
You’ll be supported to do this practice for 40 consecutive days. This is different to process journaling and dream journaling that you learn to reach to whenever they are desired. The reason focus journaling happens in a 40 day format is that we will use it to very consciously support ourselves past the places where we would usually stop - which is also the place where transformation would happen. While it may feel like circumstances beyond our control - we get busy…something comes up - we usually let go of a practice at the place where deeper change would happen. The subconscious prefers the familiar to the unfamiliar - even if that familiar is not so comfortable. These protectors come up to keep us safe, but also keep us suffering.
Another reason people tend to stop practices that support their change is that the practice is not well-enough tailored to them. This practice involves a process of intention and affirmation. Often, people are given general affirmations. If these are too far off from what the subconscious can accept, they will simply be rejected by the subconscious and you’ll eventually tire of the process. Together, we will grapple with the obstacles you meet in your mind and feel into what you personally need in order to move towards the truths you want to believe.
This process will be fun and powerful.

This will be recorded as a library class.
I don’t guide this live very often. I will be recording this so that it can be part of a library of classes that people can access when they desire. Im looking for a dedicated group of people who would like to go all-in to begin the year and who are willing to have their presence contribute to the recording. We will navigate your privacy so that you don’t have to have your image or voice shared on the recording. However, your questions, experiences, and energy will make this practice available to others.
What Group is Like
The group is scheduled in a way that is designed to guide you to be able to do this practice on your own. Each time we meet (you can join live online, or use the recording) I will teach you a next piece in the process. You will then do everything you have learned so far on your own in the days between classes. This style will support you to absorb these concepts for yourself and will help create consistency.
The live meeting will help you navigate the process in a personal way. Shifting focus means that something from the past is needing to heal. Patterns that used to be essential will need to be released and a pathway will need to be built to create the new ways of being that you desire. Topics in the live meetings will help you engage with the places you may usually get stuck. Doing this together is far faster and more effective than doing it on your own.
You will need to get a cheap composition book style journal for this group.
Recordings
There will be two layers of recording for this course. One layer is that the group will be recorded in its entirety - including sharing and questions. This will be confidential and only for the use of people in the group. It will be available for you during the time of the group and for one month after. This lets you stay connected to the process even when you can’t be present. For library purposes, no personal info will be included.
The second layer of this recorded process is that the information parts of the group will be made available as part of a library for future use for people interested in this info. This version of the recordings won’t contain any personal shares or information. Your questions will help support the creation of this library material, but your personal process, content and identity will be kept confidential.
Types of Journaling
As you may know, I teach many different sorts of journaling. They can be put into three categories: Process Journaling, Focus Journaling, and Dream Journaling. Within each of these categories, there are many different ways and kinds. I think that all three of these categories are necessary at different times in order to move our healing forward and take next steps in relationship with ourselves. Look for other groups on Dream Journaling and Process Journaling. These may be available in a live cohort or as pre-recorded material.
