Life Moves Through
Process Journaling Process Group
Having a practice of journaling is so valuable. It helps build and deepen your relationship with your life and soul. It is a way to process life, and a way to engage with your process through life. It helps to capture the magic that is happening, and helps keep the healing moving forward.
Journaling is deeply connected to soul work, attachment work, and memory. Some people will be building this relationship with themselves for the first time. That is to say, it may take support to build a relationship with your process. You may need to learn tools and ways. You may need to rebuild trust that there is a safe space for your most sacred experiences to land. It can help to have the support of a weekly meeting and cohort to build your practice and feel the soothing.
As you cultivate your practice of journaling, you can start to build in elements of soul work, emotional process, tracking rhythms, themes, and following personal meaning. You will also start to work with memory, and documentation. Capturing, and following your healing and growth. Helping yourself journey forward more quickly and honoring the beautiful, meaningful, magical moments of your life.
Journaling helps capture the magic and helps create it.

What Group is Like
Each meeting will include:
• Guidance, techniques, and support for journaling.
• Time for questions.
• Time for sharing and processing life with other participants.
The group will consist of a cohort of a minimum of 10 and maximum of 15 people. This group of souls will travel together for a while.
In this group, we will focus on “process journaling.” Process journaling is a foundational form of journaling that supports you to engage with the emotional and experiential processes of your life. Process journaling is about building a relationship with yourself. As it makes your experiences and meanings important, it is also about re-humanizing yourself and getting interested in the living of life (not “just” about productivity or mental focus). These intents are supported by the work within the cohort. You will be held by others in the way that you will be learning to hold yourself. We will get interested in our lives together.
In the process group element of class, you will get time to share about what is currently going on in your life. You get to share whatever the current moment in your journey is. You may be going through big life transitions, or it may be more subtle inner work. Over the course of the group, you may take on the practice of journaling - perhaps journaling daily or once or a few times a week. If this is the case, you’ll get to scan through what you have written and bring in the added layer or processing through sharing with others. However, it also may be that you are just beginning to build a journaling practice. There may be times weeks when you don’t journal at all. The process part of the group makes it so that - whatever happened in the week prior - you will still be building the connection to yourself.
Each week, we will also talk about ways to journal. Many people want to journal but don’t know how to begin. Some people do journal in some way, but are not sure how to use it to support their process forward. I will give ideas that guide you on how to begin and how to deepen your process in ways that will help build the relationship with yourself that you desire. This portion of group will include presentation of ideas that is also shaped by your questions and desires.

Recordings
There will be two layers of recording for this course. One layer is that the group will be recorded in its entirety - including sharing and questions. This will be confidential and only for the use of people in the group. It will be available for you during the time of the group and for one month after. This lets you stay connected to the process even when you can’t be present. For library purposes, no personal info will be included.
The second layer of this recorded process is that the information parts of the group will be made available as part of a library for future use for people interested in this info. This version of the recordings won’t contain any personal shares or information. Your questions will help support the creation of this library material, but your personal process, content and identity will be kept confidential.
Types of Journaling
As you may know, I teach many different sorts of journaling. They can be put into three categories: Process Journaling, Focus Journaling, and Dream Journaling. Within each of these categories, there are many different ways and kinds. I think that all three of these categories are necessary at different times in order to move our healing forward and take next steps in relationship with ourselves. Look for other groups on Dream Journaling and Focus Journaling (Morning Practice) as well as groups for getting stuff done. These may be available in a live cohort or as pre-recorded material.
