About the stickers:

I’ve done stickers through out the years. One particular super cool one from 2016 is still floating around. Then - during the pandemic - they became super important and took on a whole new meaning: they connected us across space. With all my classes and clients on Zoom, the stickers became a tangible thing to connect us and remind us that we are real, the connections and love is real - and that we are not alone.

The last couple years, I mailed them out to as many people as I could as gifts. We have matching stickers in our journals…even if we’ve never met in physical space. They are a connection and a marker in time. They commemorate the year and connect us to memories.

Now, my task is a little different. I want to still make the stickers, but I can’t do it as gifts. I have always been very generous in my work, doing everything I can to work within systems to make programs accessible and affordable. Keeping all my rates low - which which has been utterly necessary for people at certain times, but also can lead to people not knowing how much training I have. This is important to me and essential. And - that level of personal sacrifice was familiar - I was raised to give and serve. The task at hand right now is more scary! I need to start from zero and build a strong foundation. I know that this will ultimately get me to a level where I can support people even better. But the challenge is….it requires me to believe in my value. Even and especially in my messiness.

Not sure if you know, but I built my business on couch change and over-draft. On literal cut-and-paste hand-drawn fliers. I believed and lived the power of manifesting something from nothing and a firm belief that I would create things that would uplift us all. However, it was always flying by the seat of my pants. I never really could build business foundations. Anything system that I needed to change would be changing the motor while going 100 mph. Now, it is my responsibility to believe that I can take care of myself at a higher level . And - I still believe all the things I believed before - especially that it is our responsibility to create goodness and beauty. That we can create things in ways that uplift us all. Everything you want and dream for your next steps - I believe this for you too as I learn to believe it for myself.

About this moment in time:

As some of you know, I’ve been in a very transitional phase for the last year and a half. Part starting from zero, part making up for the past, and part new-level of hope and possibility. To be specific, soon I will have my own place to live and work. This will be a place where I can do my zoom sessions from my own space, and where I can do in person sessions again as well as hybrid yoga. I also hope to get through some of the yoga tech leaps to make it better. Getting through the last chapter was so big. And now here’s the next one:

gathering what I need, making the foundations, and then expanding from there.

When the ground is shaken, when it seems maybe I’ve asked for too much—-it may seem rational to let go of the all the dreams. But also may be that they are all close and more possible than ever. That it is time to deepen responsibility AND belief.

And so - I usually give these stickers as a complete gift - but it costs a lot and I am coming out of the repercussions of many years when I gave a lot and maybe didn’t ask enough….but was SO grateful to be able to give when it was so needed.. I was grateful for the energetic reserve that let me do so, and also am going forward with more and more wholeness. Just as I hope for you.

These stickers carry reminders of our connection and nudges of which way is up: that it's ok to turn towards the practices of possibility, beauty, care, and love.
